By using our Services, you are agreeing to the following terms. Please read them carefully!
General Terms
Account Usage
- Users are responsible for account confidentiality and activity.
- Service must not be used for unlawful or prohibited activities.
- CourseStack is not liable for indirect, incidental, or punitive damages.
- Terms are subject to change, with updates communicated via email or platform notifications.
Discord Integration
- By linking your Discord account with CourseStack, you agree to share the minimal required data (User ID) for the purpose of account linking.
- To unlink your Discord account, please contact our support team.
- CourseStack's Discord bot will only interact with you when explicitly invited to do so through authorized commands.
- The Discord integration is provided as-is and may be modified or discontinued at any time.
Course Creator Terms
Subscription Options
- Course Creators can subscribe on a Monthly or Annual basis.
- Interactive System usage and Private Enrollments are billed monthly on the 1st of each month, regardless of subscription billing cycle.
Renewals
- All subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the term.
- Saved payment methods will be used unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Cancellation
- Course Creators can cancel at any time in their account settings.
- Access remains until the end of the billing period.
Refunds
Platform Fee Refunds
- Platform fees for course purchases will be refunded if the Course Creator refunds a student within 30 days of purchase.
Subscription Refunds
- Refunds are available if no system usage has been accrued, no courses have been published, and it has not been more than 3 months (for annual subscriptions).
Representations & Warranties
Non-infringement Warranty
You represent and warrant that (a) you are the sole author and rights-holder of the Creator Content or have all licenses and permissions needed to grant the license above; (b) no portion of the Creator Content infringes or misappropriates any third-party copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other right; and (c) your uploads comply with all applicable laws.
DMCA Compliance & Takedown
DMCA Process
You agree that CourseStack may remove or disable access to any Creator Content upon receipt of a proper DMCA notice and may forward the notice—including your contact information—to you. If you believe the claim is mistaken, you may submit a counter-notice pursuant to 17 U.S.C. §512(g); upon receipt we will follow the statutory restoration timetable.
Repeat-Infringer Policy
Account Termination
We reserve the right, in appropriate circumstances, to suspend or terminate accounts that are subject to multiple valid copyright complaints.
Indemnification
Creator Indemnity
You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CourseStack, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, and employees from any losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to any third-party claim that your Creator Content infringes any intellectual-property right or otherwise violates law.
Marketing and Communications
- By using our services, you agree to receive marketing communications from CourseStack about new features, promotions, and updates. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- You will continue to receive transactional communications related to your account, service updates, and platform functionality, which cannot be opted out of as they're essential to providing our services.
Student Terms
Access to Courses
- Students retain access to courses for the duration of the purchased access period, or as long as they maintain an active subscription in the case of subscription based courses.
- Access to courses may be revoked by the course creator at any time.
- Access to courses will be lost if the Course Creator cancels their subscription to CourseStack services.
Contact from Course Creators
- By enrolling in a course, the student agrees to be contacted by the Course Creator for course-related updates.
- Students also agree to receive promotional notifications from the Course Creator about new content, unless they opt out.
Refunds
- Students may request refunds directly from the Course Creator. Refunds are subject to the author's refund policy or up to 14 days if no policy is specified.
